Seminar Overview:
Friday - A reception will be held at 5pm for all full-weekend participants as a way for everyone in the group to get to know each other. Food and beverages will be served, and we will discuss our plans for the next day. We will also hold an informal Q&A session to improve your photography skills, and our backcountry guide will be there to give a small presentation and to answer any questions.
Saturday - We will meet early in the morning outside the lodge and be transported to the area where we will conduct our all-day guided tour into some of the most scenic areas in Colorado. Once the group arrives back at the lodge in the late afternoon/early evening, everyone will have the chance to rest for a while, then we will meet for dinner at a local restaurant.
Sunday - For those who wish to get up early, we will conduct an early morning shoot around Vail and meet back at the lodge for a continental breakfast and the start of our color management session at 9 a.m.. We will use photographs taken during the weekend to demonstrate Photoshop techniques, color management methods and digital print making. Those registered for only the Sunday session will report to the conference room at 9 a.m.
Cost - The fee for attending the full seminar is $995.00 US, and $495.00 US for the Sunday color management / printing session.
Accommodations & Transportation - Guests will be responsible for booking their own accommodations and transportation to Vail. These costs are not included in the fees for the seminar. Below are some helpful tips.

Camp Hale in Summer
|
Location - We have chosen Camp Hale, the former site of the Army's 10th Mountain Division training center, as the main location for our outdoor photography session (N39°25.44', W106°18.02') . Not only is Camp Hale rich with history, but it also has a high population of aspen trees and offers many excellent photographic opportunities. Our secondary destination is nearby Cross Creek (N39°32.92', W106°25.10') at the foot of Mount of the Holy Cross. The Cross Creek Trail contains a wide variety of natural objects to photograph including rushing water and moss-covered boulders.
